1 Corinthians 2:14
14: But people who aren't Christians can't understand these truths from God's Spirit. It all sounds foolish to them because only those who have the Spirit can understand what the Spirit means.
1 Corinthians 1:18
- I know very well how foolish the message of the cross sounds to those who are on the road to destruction. But we who are being saved recognize this message as the very power of God.

Romans 8:5
- Those who are dominated by the sinful nature think about sinful things, but those who are controlled by the Holy Spirit think about things that please the Spirit.
- If your sinful nature controls your mind, there is death. But if the Holy Spirit controls your mind, there is life and peace.
- For the sinful nature is always hostile to God. It never did obey God's laws, and it never will.
- That's why those who are still under the control of their sinful nature can never please God.
2 Corinthians 4:4
- Satan, the god of this evil world, has blinded the minds of those who don't believe, so they are unable to see the glorious light of the Good News that is shining upon them. They don't understand the message we preach about the glory of Christ, who is the exact likeness of God.
